SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Yanan Refinery shut its 200,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) unit in Shaanxi province during the Labour Day holiday on 29 April-1 May for regular maintenance, a company source said on Friday.
The company plans to restart the unit after 20 days of maintenance, the source added.
Its other 100,000 tonne/year PP unit at the same site is operating at 100% capacity.
According to the market sources, a decrease in supply expected as a result of the turnaround may have little impact on the market because of continued weak demand in the Chinese PP market.
