SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Jiangsu Hengsheng Chemical Fertilizer shut its 230,000 tonne/year nitrogen phosphorus potassium (NPK) unit in Xinyi of Jiangsu province on 4 May for maintenance, a company source said on Monday.
The company shut its NPK unit mainly because “the downstream market demand is limited”, the source said, adding that the plant will be shut for seven days.
“The shutdown of [the] NPK plant is unlikely to have a significant impact on spot prices,” the source added.
