SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China-based Heilongjiang Haohua Chemical shut its 300,000 tonne/year polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plant at Qiqihar in Heilongjiang province on 6 May for maintenance that will last for half a month, a company source said on Wednesday.

The company was running the plant at 30-40% of capacity before the shutdown, the source added.

The latest offers by the producer were at yuan (CNY) 6,300/tonne ($1,023/tonne) EXW (ex-works) on 7 May, according to Chemease, an ICIS Service in china.

The maintenance of the factory had little impact on the local market, as there was ample supply to the local market from the northwest region, market sources said.
