US jet fuel consumption gains 7.8%, inventories up 0.7%

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US jet fuel stockpiles for the week ended 3 May increased despite a rise in consumption rates, a government agency’s report showed on Wednesday.

Jet fuel consumption gained 107,000 bbl/day to move to 1.472m bbl/day, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) said.

Meanwhile, jet fuel inventories rose by 300,000 bbl to 40.3m bbl that same week.

Production rates also moved higher, adding 119,000 bbl/day to move to a rate of 1.602m bbl/day.
