TAIPEI (ICIS)--South Korean aromatics maker S-Oil is on track to restart its 1m tonne/year paraxylene (PX) unit in Onsan around mid- to end-May, a company source said on Thursday.
The PX unit was shut on 16 April for turnaround.
“S-Oil plans to restart the unit in the fourth week of May,” the source said at the sidelines of the Asia Petrochemical Industry Conference (APIC) in Taipei.
The company is currently operating its No 1 and No 2 aromatics plants at 100% capacity at the meantime.
APIC 2013 runs on 9-10 May.
