SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Fushun Petrochemical, a PetroChina subsidiary, plans to shut its polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) units in Fushun, Liaoning province, for scheduled maintenance on 15 May, a source close to the company said on Thursday.
The shutdown period will last about 15 days, according to the source.
The PE units comprise a 140,000 tonne/year high density PE (HDPE) unit, a 350,000 tonne/year HDPE unit, and a 450,000 tonne/year low linear density PE (LLDPE) unit. The PP units comprise a 90,000 tonne/year PP unit and a 300,000 tonne/year PP unit.
