TAIPEI (ICIS)--Prime Evolue Singapore plans to start commercial production at its new 300,000 tonne/year metallocene linear low density polyethylene (MLLDPE) plant on Jurong Island in April 2015, a source at Prime Polymer said on Thursday.
He was speaking at the sidelines of the Asia Petrochemical Industry Conference (APIC 2013).
Prime Polymer holds a 80% stake in Prime Evolue, with Mitsui & Co holding the balance 20%.
Prime Evolue Singapore would be holding a ground-breaking ceremony for the new plant on 22 May, the source said.
Construction of the plant would be completed by December 2014 and trial production would begin in early 2015, he added.
Asia Petrochemical Industry Conference (APIC 2013) is being held in Taipei on 9-10 May.
