TAIPEI (ICIS)--Malaysian demand for polyolefins is expected to grow at 4.3% this year to 1.45m tonnes/year from 1.39m tonnes in 2012, the country’s petrochemical association said as the Asia Petrochemical Industry Conference (APIC) ended on Friday.
The Eurozone economy was expected to continue struggling throughout this year and that, in turn, would affect demand for polyolefins, the Malaysian Petrochemicals Association (MPA) said in its annual report.
The report was presented at APIC, which was held in Taipei on 9-10 May.
