SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's Maoming Petrochemical, a subsidiary of state-owned oil giant Sinopec, shut its 250,000 tonne/year new low density polyethylene (LDPE) plant in Guangdong province on 12 May as scheduled, a company source said on Monday.
The LDPE plant is likely to be restarted after two to four days, the source said.
The shutdown is expected to have no significant impact in the Chinese market because of its short duration, according to local distributors.
