SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Thailand’s PTT Global Chemical (PTTGC) restarted its 515,000 tonne/year mixed-feed I-4 No 1 cracker in Map Ta Phut as scheduled on 13 May, a company source said on Tuesday.

The company took the plant off line at the start of the month to fix technical issues.

The cracker, which mainly uses naphtha feed, was shut on 1 May.

Separately, the source said the I-4 No 1 cracker is still scheduled to undergo 30-40 days of scheduled maintenance, likely from 1 August.

PTTGC also runs three other gas crackers at the site with a combined nameplate ethylene capacity of 1.86m tonnes/year.
