S.Korea’s Lotte buys 50,000 tonnes naphtha for second-half June

SINGAPORE (ICIS)—South Korea’s Lotte Chemical Corp has bought 50,000 tonnes of spot naphtha supply for delivery to both Yeosu and Daesan in the second half of June, traders said on Wednesday.

The deal for the 25,000-tonne cargo, which is bound for Yeosu, was done at a premium of $8/tonne to Japan quotes CFR (cost & freight), they added.

The second similar-sized cargo, which is slated for delivery to Daesan, fetched a premium of $9/tonne to Japan quotes CFR, traders said.

Lotte last bought 25,000 tonnes of spot naphtha supply for delivery to Yeosu in the first half of June, at a premium of $7.50/tonne (€5.70/tonne) to Japan quotes CFR.
