Japan’s JX Nippon Oil to restart Muroran refinery on 10 June

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s largest refiner JX Nippon Oil & Energy will restart its 180,000 bbl/day Muroran refinery on 10 June after completing a scheduled maintenance at the unit,  a company source said late on Wednesday.

The Muroran refinery, which is located on the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido, was shut on 13 May.

The aromatics facility at the site is able to produce 120,000 tonnes/year of benzene and 400,000 tonnes/year of mixed xylene, the source said.
