SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Fushun Petrochemical, a PetroChina subsidiary, is planning to restart its 200,000 tonne/year styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) plant at Fushun in Liaoning province on 20 June, a company source said on Monday.?xml:namespace>
The plant has been shut since mid-May along with the company’s naphtha crackers at the same site, the source said.
“SBR prices may be supported in the northeast market because of the production loss during the shutdown period,” said a market player.
The company's 150,000 tonne/year and 800,000 tonne/year naphtha crackers were shut on 15 May for one-month regular maintenance, the source added.
