Japan's PS production falls 5% in April

TOKYO (ICIS)--Japan's production of polystyrene (PS) fell by 5% year on year to 57,500 tonnes in April, official data from the Japan Styrene Industry Association (JSIA) showed on Tuesday.  

The country's domestic shipments of PS also decreased by 5% to 48,664 tonnes from the previous month, according to the association. 

Exports of PS, on the other hand, increased by 7% year on year to 1,706 tonnes, based on the data.
