LONDON (ICIS)--February vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) imports into the EU were up by 177% from February 2012, data from European statistics agency Eurostat showed on Wednesday.
February 2013 imports amounted to 38,280 tonnes, compared with 13,842 tonnes in February 2012.
January 2013 acetic acid imports totalled 31,527 tonnes, up by 7% from 29,570 tonnes in January 2012. This was the highest monthly total recorded for 2012.
Eurostat import/export data is subject to revision as more detailed information becomes available.
