MEDELLIN, Colombia (ICIS)--Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex), the state-owned oil company, plans to conduct maintenance at its Antonio Dovali Jaime refinery in southern Mexico, Pemex said on Wednesday.
Flaring will occur this week during the maintenance on Primary 1 plant in the I-401 unit of the hydrodesulphurisation 1 plant and in a turbo boiler at the refinery, according to Pemex.
The refinery, the largest in Mexico, has a processing capacity of 330,000 bbl/day, according to Pemex.
The refinery, located in the port city of Salina Cruz in the southern state of Oaxaca, was built in 1979, with the goal of reducing Mexico’s rising US gasoline, refined product and petrochemical imports.
