SAO PAULO (ICIS)--A new high-performance printing method developed by DuPont should provide greater speed and quality to ?xml:namespace>
DuPont’s Cyrel performance plates are specially designed to provide high quality during high-speed printing, said Rodrigo Yamaguchi, packaging graphics sales manager for the company’s
Cyrel plates use a technology that polymerises the printing. It has low dot gain and excellent solid ink density, Yamaguchi said, and it can be used to print on a variety of papers and plastics.
“You can print everything from corrugated boxes to flexible packaging regardless of substance – polyethylene [PE], you name it,” he said.
Global demand for high-quality flexible packaging continues to grow, and the market in
“Every brand owner cares about their quality, and they demand that they look the same regardless of where it’s being displayed,” Yamaguchi said.
Used polymerised plates can be recycled under a DuPont program where the company will reuse the polymers in other products, he said.
“We’re not landfilling or incinerating plates,” Yamaguchi said.
