SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s import volumes of ethanolamines in April fell by 35.5% month on month, China customs data showed on Thursday.
Import volumes fell from around 14,162 tonnes in March to 9,131 tonnes in April, the official data showed.
Despite the fall in import volumes from March, domestic ethanolamine prices fell in April on the back of bearish sentiment amid falling feedstock ethylene oxide (EO) prices in April.
Year on year, import volumes increased by 35.4% from 6,743 tonnes in April 2012.
