China’s ethylene output in April increases 2.9% year on year

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s ethylene output for April increased by 2.9% year on year to 1.25m tonnes, according to data released by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association (CPCIA) on Thursday.

Products such as benzene, polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and methanol also showed a year-on-year increase in output for April, the CPCIA data showed.

The output of crude oil increased by 2.8% to 17m tonnes in April. Total crude oil output for the first four months of this year is 68m tonnes, up by 2.5% year on year, the data showed.
