MOSCOW (ICIS)--Belarus official statistics indicated on Thursday that the country's overall production of fertilizers and other chemical products was up in the January-April period, despite a fall in polymer output.
According to statistical agency Belstat, the country's total output of mineral fertilizers between January and April was up by 3.9% year on year to 2.12m tonnes, while potash production was up 4.3% year on year at 1.74m tonnes.
Ammonia output increased 3.1% year on year at 373,100 tonnes, the agency added.
However, the country's total output of polyethylene (PE) in the four-month period was 2.5% down year on year at 47,200 tonnes, while polyethylene terephthalate (PET) production was 13.1% down year on year at 55,600 tonnes, the agency said.
