SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Ningbo Jiangning Chemical has signed a contract with Zhenhai BP to buy around 200,000 tonnes/year of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for five years starting 22 May 2013, its parent company Zhejiang Jiangshan Chemical said on Friday.
Jiangning Chemical will use the LPG to extract around 90,000 tonnes/year of n-butane feedstock for its 80,000 tonne/year of maleic anhydride (MA) unit at Ningbo in Zhejiang province, according to a statement from Jiangshan Chemical.
Prices of the supply will be in line with the levels in both domestic and international markets, the statement said.
Jiangning Chemical has a separate 120,000 tonne/year MA unit at the same site.
