Russia reports mixed chems, petchems production in Jan-April

MOSCOW (ICIS)--Russia's overall production of chemical and petrochemical products was mixed between January and April, according to the Russian statistical agency Rosstat on Friday.

In the January-April period, Russia's total output of mineral fertilizers was down by 0.8% year on year at 6m tonnes, although ammonia output was up 6% year on year at 4.9m tonnes, it added.

Plastics output was 15.1% up year on year at 2m tonnes, while synthetic rubber production was up 5.6% at 532,000 tonnes, the agency said.
