LONDON (ICIS)--Spain-based Novapet's polyethylene terephthalate (PET) 30,000 tonne/year Plant 1 has begun its scheduled maintenance shutdown, a company source said on Friday.
A restart is expected at the smaller of the two specialty lines, due towards the end of June, when the unit is scheduled to run at around 40% capacity.
The 100,000 tonne/year Plant 2 specialty line and the company's 130,000 tonne/year Plant 3 are running at 75%.
