S Korea’s Lotte Chem buys 25,000 tonnes naphtha for first-half July

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s Lotte Chemical has bought 25,000 tonnes of spot naphtha supply for delivery to Yeosu in the first half of July, traders said on Monday.

The deal for the cargo was done at a premium of $10.50/tonne (€8.10/tonne) to Japan quotes CFR (cost & freight), they added.

Lotte previously bought 50,000 tonnes of spot naphtha supply for delivery to both Yeosu and Daesan in the second half of June. The deal for the 25,000 tonne cargo, which is bound for Yeosu, was done at a premium of $8.00/tonne to Japan quotes CFR.

The second similar-sized cargo, which is slated for delivery to Daesan, fetched a premium of $9.00/tonne to Japan quotes CFR.
