LONDON (ICIS)--India's Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore (FACT) has awarded its fourth ammonia tender of 2013 to locally based trader CIFC, market sources said on Tuesday.
CIFC offered to supply an 8,000-tonne parcel (+/- 5%) at $576/tonne (€443.50/tonne) CFR (cost and freight) for delivery to the west coast port of Kochi (formerly Cochin) between 10 and 14 June.
CIFC, which was awarded under FACT’s early April tender for 7,000 tonnes of ammonia, saw off competition from three firms: Kribhco which offered at Indian rupees 31,000/tonne CFR, Qatar's Muntajat at $595/tonne CFR and Transammonia (Trammo) at $620/tonne CFR.
In late April, FACT's third ammonia tender of the year was awarded to Muntajat, the marketer of Qatar Fertiliser Co (QAFCO) products, for 7,000 tonnes at $595/tonne CFR.
