SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s Formosa Plastics Corp (FPC) restarted its two polypropylene (PP) plants at Ningbo in China’s Zhejiang province on 29-30 May, company sources said on Thursday.
The 170,000 tonne/year plant was restarted late on 29 May, while the other 280,000 tonne/year plant was restarted on 30 May, according to the company sources.
The PP plants were shut on 20 May as scheduled.
Local distributors said the shutdown had limited impact on the domestic market because of its short duration.
