MELBOURNE (ICIS)--China’s Jiangsu Lianhai Biological Technology on Thursday began a trial run at its new 200,000 tonne/year ethyl acetate (etac) line in Nantong, Jiangsu province, a source close to the company said.
The trial run has been delayed from early May because some details took longer to be finalised, the source said, without elaborating.
The new line will triple company’s etac capacity to 300,000 tonnes/year.
The producer said the operating rate at the new line will be adjusted in accordance with market conditions, the source added.
