SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Baotou-based Xinxingsheng Energy plans to begin supplying liquefied natural gas (LNG) from its 300,000 cubic metre (cbm)/day liquefaction plant on 15 June, a company source said on Friday.
The company has achieved on-spec LNG production at the Baotou plant in Inner Mongolia autonomous region since 15 May, the source said.
The plant is equipped with a 5,000cbm storage tank, and processes natural gas supplied from PetroChina’s Changqing oilfield, the source said.
LNG outputs will be mainly distributed to markets in the area, the source said, adding that they are looking for third-party logistics companies for LNG delivery.
The company has also started preparatory works of a second-phase project with the same liquefaction capacity at the same site, but the specific timeline for operation has not been finalised, added the source.
Xinxingsheng Energy specialises in gas liquefaction, storage, transportation and distribution.
