HOUSTON (ICIS)--Momentive Performance Materials has opened its expanded technology centre in Seoul, South Korea, the US-headquartered producer said on Friday.

Momentive’s Korea Technology Center will provide research and development (R&D) of materials for display, light-emitting diode (LED) and organic light-emitting diode (OLED) applications for the electronics industry.

“By merging world-class technical talent and an arsenal of advanced equipment at the epicenter of the electronics industry, we hope to pioneer the ideas that will revolutionise the industry and transform everyday life,” said Ray Kolberg, senior vice president of formulated products at Momentive.

“And, by housing the KTC close to key customers for the industry, we are able to offer customers faster response times, more opportunities for collaboration and stronger growth programs, all critical to helping them be successful,” he added.
