HOUSTON (ICIS)--US-based PetroLogistics said it will declare force majeure on propylene while it shuts down its propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit on 8 June, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Monday.
The filing said that the company’s Houston PDH unit in Texas is going down for repairs pertaining to two of the eight reactors at the plant.
The company also said it will complete other maintenance during the shutdown, which is expected to last for two weeks.
The company has 544,000 tonnes/year of propylene capacity at the unit, according to ICIS plants and projects.
