LONDON (ICIS)--An initial June European orthoxylene (OX) contract was agreed at €1,095/tonne ($1,441/tonne), one buyer said on Wednesday, down €15/tonne from the previous month.

Despite some recent concerns surrounding supply amid several turnarounds, the buyer said that it had seen no problems with availability for June. The current macroeconomic bearishness and slow downstream activity also supported the decrease.

The settlement was agreed on a free delivered (FD) northwest Europe (NWE) basis. Further confirmation from other players is pending.
