HOUSTON (ICIS)--Wood Group has won a contract from Dow Chemical for work on 140 miles of ethane, ethylene, propane and propylene pipelines in Texas, the energy and chemicals engineering firm said on Thursday.
The pipeline project – between Dow’s site at Freeport, Texas and facilities at Mont Belvieu, Texas – are part of US-headquartered Dow Chemical’s planned new ethylene project at Freeport.
Wood's contract includes associated interconnections and station modifications, it said. Completion is scheduled for late 2016.
UK-headquartered Wood Group will provide engineering, field services and construction management on the pipeline project out of its offices in Houston and Angleton, Texas.
Financial details were not disclosed.
