HOUSTON (ICIS)--US exports of polycarbonate (PC) fell by 14% in April to 33,348 tonnes from 38,716 tonnes a year ago, according to data release Thursday by the US International Trade Commission.
April PC exports also fell from March, when they were 35,614 tonnes, the ITC said.
The largest US PC export destinations in April were Mexico at 11,231 tonnes, China at 6,395 tonnes and Korea at 3,542 tonnes, the ITC reported.
US imports of PC rose by 6.7% in April to 5,106 tonnes from 4,786 tonnes a year ago, the ITC said. April imports were exactly the same as in March when they were also 5,106 tonnes, the ITC said.
The largest source of imports in April were from Belgium at 1,152 tonnes, Canada at 951 tonnes, and Thailand at 767 tonnes.
