LONDON (ICIS)--Exports of isopropanol (IPA) out of the EU 27 countries rose 30% year on year in January 2013, data from statistics agency Eurostat showed on Wednesday.

Imports into the EU fell by 60% compared to January 2012, due to weak demand and over-supply in the European market.

February 2013 saw a 17% drop in both imports and exports of IPA compared to the same period last year.

As of February 2013, the largest exporter of IPA to the EU was the US, with the largest amounts of IPA exports going to Switzerland and Turkey, according to Eurostat data.
