LONDON (ICIS)--Imports of methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) into the EU 27 countries dropped 88% in January year on year and 95% in February 2013, data from statistics agency Eurostat showed on Wednesday.

Exports out of the EU in January 2013 rose 3% year on year, but saw a decline of 29% in February compared with the same period last year.

MEK demand in Europe has been subdued in 2013 because of the poor economic environment and over-supply in the region.
