LONDON (ICIS)--Imports of methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK) into the EU27 from the rest of the world fell 90% year on year in February 2013, data from statistics agency Eurostat showed on Thursday.

January exports from the EU27 to the rest of the world rose 1% compared to the same period last year, while February exports rose 46% year on year.

Demand for MIBK in Europe is poor because of the weak economic environment, which has impacted the automotive industry in the region, one of the key end-use markets for MIBK.
