LONDON (ICIS)--European crude glycerine values have firmed on the back of tight supply, according to ICIS data on Thursday.

Crude glycerine values were assessed at €300-375/tonne ($400-500/tonne) FD (free delivered) NWE (northwest Europe), up by €15-30/tonne from the previous week.

Sources said low levels of European biodiesel production during the first half of the year have resulted in limited by-product crude glycerine supply, exerting upward pressure on prices.
