LONDON (ICIS)--Imports of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) into the EU27 from the rest of the world rose by 3% year on year in February this year, data from statistics agency Eurostat showed on Thursday.

January saw an 8% year-on-year drop in imports into the EU, but larger volumes of material from Asia in February saw imports into the 27 EU countries increase.

ABS exports from the EU rose slightly in February 2013, compared to the same period last year.

European ABS demand has been relatively stable for most of 2013, with drops in demand from the automotive and construction sectors being offset by stronger demand in household and white goods markets.
