INEOS Phenol restarts Antwerp phenol, acetone following outage

LONDON (ICIS)--INEOS Phenol has resumed production of phenol/acetone at its plant in Antwerp, Belgium, following a planned outage, a market source said on Friday.

“INEOS is back on in Antwerp, but they have not been missed [from the market],” said a buyer.

“Demand is flat everywhere and for everything,” the buyer added.

The Antwerp plant, which has the capacity to produce to 680,000 tonnes/year of phenol and 415,000 tonne/year of by-product acetone. It has been shut down since the middle of May for planned maintenance.
