China’s Zibo Qixiang to start up 50,000 tonne/year BR plant in July

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Zibo Qixiang plans to bring on stream its new 50,000 tonne/year butadiene rubber (BR) plant at Zibo in Shandong province in July, the company said on Tuesday.

The plant started carrying out trials at the plant in June, and the construction costs yuan (CNY) 142.8m ($23.3m), the producer said in a statement to the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

Additionally, the company expects to complete the construction of its 100,000 tonne/year maleic anhydride (MA) before the end of October this year, the statement added.

The company did not mention the construction start date for both projects.
