SINGAPORE (ICIS)--The EU imported 13% less polycarbonate (PC) from the rest of the world in March 2013 than in March 2012, Eurostat data showed on Tuesday.

Imports in March also dropped by 5% compared with February 2013.

However, the EU exported 42% more PC in March 2013 than in March 2012 and by 17% more in March than in February 2013.

This is because demand has been very poor for PC in Europe, resulting in sellers seeking to offload stocks overseas.
