SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's Yingli Group plans to build a 3 gigawatts (GW) photovoltaic (PV) power station in Yunnan province, southwest China, during 2013-2016, a source close to the company said on Wednesday.
The company will be cooperating with the Yunnan government during the project, the source said.
The abundant sunlight and land in Yunnan are of advantage to the PV project, the source added.
No financial details on the project were disclosed.
