LONDON (ICIS)--European cyclohexane (CX) exports from the EU 27 increased by 292% in March 2013 compared with March 2012, according to data released this week by Eurostat.
In March 2013, 2,610 tonnes of CX was exported, compared with 665 tonnes in March 2012.
During the same period, CX imports in to the EU 27 fell by 52%, from 30,205 tonnes in March 2012, to 14,638 tonnes in March 2013. Import volumes fell because of weak derivatives demand, caused by poor macroeconomic conditions limiting consumer purchasing power.
