LONDON (ICIS)--Canada-based methanol producer Methanex has settled its European Posted Contract Price (MEPCP) for the third quarter at €390/tonne ($520/tonne) FOB (free on board), a company source said on Wednesday.

The price represents a rollover from the second quarter.

The source said €390/tonne had been finalised with broad support from customers.

Methanex’s MEPCP is independent from the European contract price, which is reached by consensus between other major market players.

On Monday, an initial settlement was made for the European contract price, also at €390/tonne, but this has not yet been fully confirmed.
