Japan’s Asahi Kasei runs ADA unit at around 75% after restart

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Asahi Kasei is running its 120,000 tonne/year adipic acid (ADA) plant at Nobeoka in Miyazaki prefecture at around 75% of capacity, a company source said on Thursday.

The plant was restarted on 15 June as scheduled after a scheduled maintenance, the source said.

The adipic acid plant was shut down on 13 May.

On 19 June, ADA prices for international origin were assessed stable at $1,800-1,850/tonne CFR (cost and freight) NE (northeast) Asia (€1,350-1,388/tonne) on 19 June, according to ICIS.
