SINGAPORE (ICIS)--PetroChina is planning to start up its refinery and petrochemical complex at Pengzhou in the southwestern province of Sichuan in mid-July, a source familiar with the case said on Thursday.

Test runs have begun a couple of days ago, said the source from a PetroChina refinery.

The complex consists of a 200,000 bbl/day refinery, a naphtha cracker that can produce 800,000 tonne/year of ethylene and various derivatives units including polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP).
