LONDON (ICIS)--Novapex will go into a planned outage as its phenol/acetone plant in Roussillion, France, for two weeks in August, a company source confirmed on Friday.

“The shutdown will be for two weeks in August from the fifth. It’s a quieter time [of the year] and this is why we do it then.

“We don’t expect there to be any issues. Clients know about the shutdown and many of them have shutdowns at the same time,” the company source said.

The Roussillion plant has the capacity to produce 175,000 tonnes of phenol and 108,000 tonnes of acetone.
