Europe June MEG contract price confirmed at €947/tonne

LONDON (ICIS)--The European June monoethylene glycol (MEG) contract price has been confirmed at €947/tonne ($1,246/tonne), down €18/tonne compared with May, the buyer and the seller said on Friday.

"The initial number should have been higher … it does not reflect the market situation [but] sooner or later we have to come to some number," the seller said.

The settlement was initially concluded on 14 June, on a free delivered (FD) northwest Europe (NWE) basis.
