US Shell Chemical begins restart process at Louisiana cracker

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US Shell Chemical began the restart process at its Norco cracker in Louisiana, sources said on Friday.

Market sources said the cracker had been shut down in early May for planned maintenance but was expected to be back on line sometime next week.

The company has two crackers at the site with a combined ethylene capacity of 1.420m tonnes/year, according to ICIS plants and projects.
