SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Wison Nanjing Clean Energy is planning to start up its new methanol-to-olefin (MTO) plant in Jiangsu in August, the company source said on Monday.
The plant has a production capacity of 300,000 tonnes/year and it would need around 900,000 tonnes/year of methanol in order to run at full scale.
This is the country’s sixth MTO project. The others are operated by Datang, Shenhua Baotou, Shenhua Ningxia, Sinopec Zhongyuan and Ningbo Heyuan.
